Our Mission: Periods Without Compromise

Welcome to DAME. We are on a mission to build a world where periods hold nobody back—and neither do the products we use for them. Founded by Celia Pool and Alec Mills, DAME was born out of a desire to reimagine period care from the ground up. For too long, the industry has relied on uncomfortable, plastic-heavy, and chemical-laden products. We decided it was bloody well time for a change. By creating comfortable, toxin-free, and highly sustainable alternatives, we are ensuring that the best choice for your body is also the best choice for our planet.

Pioneering Sustainable Period Care We aren't afraid to shake things up. It all started when we launched the world's first Reusable Tampon Applicator—a game-changer that has already helped save over 20 million disposable plastic applicators from polluting our oceans and landfills. Since then, we've expanded our range to include luxuriously soft reusable pads, ultra-comfortable period pants, and 100% organic cotton tampons grown without harsh pesticides. We design products that cause as little harm to the environment as possible, while actively offsetting twice the carbon we emit through thoughtful community insetting initiatives.

Activism, Accessibility, and Acceptability As a proud B-Corp, balancing profit with purpose is in our DNA. But we know that creating great products is only half the battle; we also have to smash the taboos surrounding menstruation. From putting a photo of a woman dancing with her tampon string on the side of 200 London buses, to partnering with Girlguiding UK to empower the next generation, we dabble heavily in activism. We are fighting to bring periods into the 21st century for people of all races and genders, tackling period poverty, and ensuring everyone has access to better education, resources, and care.
